Sanguine Esports is a North American eSports organization. Aside from SMITE the organization also has a team in Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

History

Season 3

NA Challenger

Sanguine Esports began in SMITE in the NA Challenger scene. At the time, they had what was considered the strongest team going into the SMITE Challenger Cup, winning first place in both the Spring Season and the Spring Playoffs. However, before they were to compete in the Fall Relegations, the roster was picked up by Most Wanted eSports, leaving Sanguine Esports without a roster.

Adventures into EU

In week 2 of the SPL Fall Season, Sanguine picked up Team Leftovers, a EU based team that had shown promise but seemed to falter somewhat during their opening split. During the Placement Stages, this seemed to be the case again, getting last place in the stage, placing them in Group A, the weakest of the groups from first glance.

However, when the Group Stages began, Sanguine showed they had potential. Thought they had a slow start, Sanguine showed they could stand up to top players such as Team Dignitas and Orbit eSports in the group, mostly off the back of Cherryo, the team's current jungle player. They caught everyone off guard, getting second in their group (third overall in the placements) and qualifying for the Regional Championship.

Sadly, despite the love of an underdog story, the team lost to NRG Esports 0-3 in the qualifying match, and lost 4 of their games in the NA/EU Wildcard. Soon after, Cherryo and Murrdurr announced their departure from the team. Soon after again, Nika, the solo laner at the time, said that he and TheDarkDodo were kicked off the team so Arkkyl could build a team around himself.
